DC Claims Victory Over Faith Christian Academy, 4-2

The DC Knights defeated Faith Christian Academy 4-2 on Monday, May 17.

Faith Christian Academy got on the board first in the second inning on a throwing error by DC catcher Josh Freiling, scoring one run.

The Knights pulled away for good with two runs in the fourth inning. In that inning, Josh Dell’Arciprete doubled on a 2-2 count, driving in one run and Jordan Mitchell grounded out, driving in another run.

Robert Lucas was strong on the mound, leading DC to victory. The lefty surrendered two runs on three hits over seven innings, striking out seven with no walks.

The Knights tallied six hits. Dell and Lucas each collected multiple hits for DC. Dell’Arciprete went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead the team. The Knights stole five bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Jeremiah Chow led the way with two.
